This proof-of-concept for a non-fiction picture book pairs real steam engine mechanics with high energy, mad visuals, guided by our trusty conductor. 

For young, early school-age readers, engagement starts with the visuals. The bold colour palette and playful illustration style are intentional. I designed this to feel exciting for an audience encountering this subject for the first time. The goal was to make a topic that can feel intimidating feel bold, colourful and delightfully weird - ​because why should learning be boring?
